Survey Services
AFMC is NCQA-certified to conduct HEDIS®/CAHPS® surveys. We are also experienced with MHSIP, health outcome and other standardized consumer surveys. We handle submission to the NCQA, National CAHPS Benchmarking Database and related national databases. Our team members have earned client trust and consistently exceed expectations.
Our survey team offers:
- Improved response rates. Ours are over 40 percent — consistently higher than the national average for similar surveys. We have improved response rates dramatically — even doubling or tripling them — for many of our clients who previously handled their own surveys.
- A focus on quality improvement. Our analysts and health care improvement specialists can help identify trends and opportunities for positive change. And, should you choose to take our partnership to the next level, we offer outreach, education, utilization review and other services that can help you convert data to action.
- Results reporting. Our staff produces clear, concise summaries and detailed reports, noting trends and opportunities. We incorporate into the reports the statistics from surveys that have been submitted to the NCQA and other national databases.
- Professional design. Studies have shown that the appearance of a survey can affect its response rate, as well as respondents’ understanding of the content.
- Increased readability and comprehension. We can customize questions to the literacy level of the target population, increasing response rates and improving results.
- Ensured anonymity. Respondents are more open when they are assured their identity will not be shared, and honesty increases accuracy.
- Language and cultural sensitivity for Spanish-speaking survey respondents. We can produce culturally appropriate materials in Spanish, and, if needed, will conduct a conference call using a professional translator.
- Call center. We can resolve survey-related questions and concerns from potential respondents. For those with reading disabilities, we can conduct the survey by telephone. If given phone numbers, we can conduct entire surveys by telephone.
- Mailing list maintenance. Mailed surveys are less intrusive than telephone surveys and often more positively received. AFMC over-samples to allow for incorrect addresses, and has processes in place to ensure that respondents with corrected addresses will be mailed new survey materials.
