Continuing Nursing Education
Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by Arkansas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
Continuing Medical Education
Continuing Medical Education activities are planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Medicine and the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care. The UAMS College of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing education for physicians.

We focus on those conditions and processes of care whose consequences impose considerable burdens of morbidity, mortality and cost to our community.
Types of Activities
Our mission is accomplished through designing and executing strategic education interventions, such as conferences, workshops, video teleconferences, enduring material, and online/internet educational activities.
Target Audience
Activities are targeted towards those who contribute to care delivery across the continuum of health care, such as physicians, nurses, ancillary health care professionals, administrators, public health policy stakeholders.
Expected Results
As a result of our endeavors, we expect to effect positive change in the quality of health care delivered in Arkansas and be recognized as a valuable source of quality health care education that is credible and relevant.
