Arkansas Innovative Performance Program

photo of nursing homeThe Arkansas Innovative Performance Program (AIPP) is dedicated to helping Medicaid-certified nursing homes provide the best care possible for each resident in their care. We do this by helping facilities find opportunities for improvement and offering guidance and support to help make positive changes.

Working with AIPP provides access - free of charge - to professional expertise and experience: nurses, physicians, statisticians and others focused on finding and applying innovative ways to improve long-term care. We know the complexities of long-term care, and we share your concern for its future.

Call today. We can help you create a caring, efficient and rewarding environment for residents and employees, and provide the compassionate, consistent and effective care all nursing home residents deserve.

AIPP is led by the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care in partnership with the Department of Human Services’ Office of Long Term Care and the Arkansas Health Care Association.

A tailored plan

Nursing homes face common challenges: increased workloads, workforce turnover, mounting scrutiny. So, any program aimed at improvement must begin by evaluating obstacles and opportunities for improvement.

Our first step will be a detailed visit to determine current staffing structure, processes, systems and needs. We will work with nursing home staff and administrators to form a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving care, determine the root cause of any problem areas and develop a plan for your facility’s specific needs.

Applying creative solutions

The AIPP team has researched nursing home quality improvement “best practices” used throughout the state and nation, and can help match your needs with strategies most likely to be successful. The AIPP team will work with nursing home staff on-site to help analyze data, make the best use of state survey findings, recommend specific changes and offer advice about how to successfully achieve change. You will also have the chance to attend topic-specific workshops and regional meetings where long-term care providers can share successes, concerns and solutions.

Our AIPP team will provide guidance and support to motivate staff, ease transitions, evaluate results and ensure positive change.

AIPP’s mission is not regulatory or punitive. It is simply to help nursing homes that want or need to improve their care and their environment. Participation is voluntary.
