2007 EPSDT Pilot Clinic Awards presented to 44 Arkansas facilities

AFMC recently presented 44 clinics with EPSDT Pilot Clinic Awards for their efforts to improve preventive care for Arkansas children. The clinics received the award during the 2007 MMCS Educational Conference, held Thurs., Dec. 6, in Little Rock.
Award recipients were:

The clinics received the award for their participation in an intensive pilot project to test new strategies, tools and tactics for preventive childhood health care. Each participant is working to improve its preventive screening rates during the course of the project.
“These clinics are to be commended for their hard work and dedication to improving the health of children all across Arkansas,” said Peggy Starling, manager of provider relations for Medicaid Managed Care Services. “They have made a difference in the lives of their patients by helping them stay healthy and active.”
