Instructions for the Home Health Group Discussion List

As the Quality Improvement Organization for the state of Arkansas, we are pleased to have the opportunity to work with each of you as you learn about and implement the Outcome Based Quality Improvement (OBQI) process. We have established an e-mail group discussion list for all the home care agencies in our state and invite you to join. This new service will make it possible for you to communicate with your peers in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

What are the benefits of joining this new group discussion list?
It will enable you to:
1. Post questions to other home care agencies in the state.
2. Exchange ideas.
3. Discuss home health specific issues.
4. Share knowledge and insights that you have gained.
5. Solicit the opinions of others who are experienced in quality improvement regarding any topic you chose-OASIS, OBQI, PPS, JCAHO, etc.
6. Receive notices of meetings, events, and updates from AFMC.

As you can see, the group discussion list is a powerful communication tool and it simple to join:

Go to www.medqic.org

1. If you are currently a member, log in
2. If you are not a member, click on New User Registration
3. You will need to obtain your agency ID # from AFMC. Contact HH QI team homehealth@afmc.org.
4. On the left hand side menu, click "HHA Discussion" under Services for HHAs
5. Click here to join your Arkansas' discussion group

You'll receive a message from the group discussion list system indicating you request for membership was received. You will start getting e-mail messages from the other members of the group discussion list.

If you want to post a comment or question, just go to www.medqic.org as above and post a question.

Important note: When you receive a message as a member of a list, you will note that the sender's e-mail address or name appears in the "From:" field, the list name in the "To:" field, and your e-mail address in the "BC:" field. If you elect to reply to this e-mail, please be aware that your reply will be distributed to every member on the list, not just the person listed in the "To:" field. If you wish to communicate with that person exclusively, send a separate e-mail addressed only to that person.
