Outcome-Based Quality Improvement (OBQI)

AFMC welcomes the opportunity to partner with Arkansas' home health agencies to improve care through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' national Home Health Outcome Based Quality Improvement (OBQI) System.

What is OBQI?

Outcome Based Quality Improvement (OBQI)  is a systematic approach that home health agencies can implement and follow to continuously improve the quality of care they provide.

Under OBQI, quality is measured against the ultimate yardstick — patient outcomes. Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) reports will be used to define the objectives for quality improvement.

Outcome Measures Focus: Acute Care Hospitalization and Improvement in Management of Oral Medications
