Well Child
Project
Overview and Indicators
AFMC’s Well Child Project works to increase preventive
health care visits for children, as recommended by the American
Academy of Pediatrics and other national guidelines. Regular
visits to primary care physicians are a critical component
of pediatric care and can correct problems that could seriously
affect early learning and development. Providers can help
increase preventive care by offering ongoing education and
encouraging regularly scheduled visits.
