AFMC is proud to announce the recent election of five new members to its Board of Directors. The new members were voted on by physician membership, which is made up of over 1,000 physicians statewide, at the August Board Meeting. They will serve three-year terms. The new board members include Dr. Josh Dilley, Glen Fenter, EdD, Dr. Chris Hardin, Debby Nye and Angie Walker.

AFMC received award notification of the second contract to assist the Arkansas Department of Health in its COVID-19 contact tracing efforts. “We are delighted to assist the State of Arkansas in this endeavor,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Ray Hanley. “This allows AFMC, an Arkansas company, to employ Arkansans in the fight against Covid-19.” AFMC voluntarily assisted the state as it began contact tracing in June.

Together Arkansas, an opioid response initiative developed by the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce/Associated Industries of Arkansas, Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care (AFMC), has received the endorsement of Leslie Rutledge, Arkansas Attorney General, and Kirk Lane, Arkansas Drug Director. The online toolkit also features connections to new resources available to help fight the opioid crisis in the state.
