Peer-to-Peer Listening Supporting the Heart of Arkansas Teachers
At AFMC, we are dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of educators. Teaching can be challenging, but we believe your insights are needed to improve education. Our focus is on promoting innovation in health and wellness through community partnerships. We uphold principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging, ensuring that every educator feels valued and supported. As an independent nonprofit organization, we prioritize your safety, privacy, and confidentiality and are committed to ensuring that your participation remains anonymous. By engaging with our services, you can access vital resources while contributing to a constructive dialogue about education. We’re here to listen and advocate for your needs. Together, we can create a healthier environment for both educators and students.
We are excited to introduce a new resource designed to support Arkansas teachers and staff—a teacher helpline, the first of its kind in Arkansas.
Our team of experts knows that teaching is extremely rewarding but can also have its challenges. To address these unique situations, the Arkansas Teacher Support Helpline connects educators with Peer Listeners who have lived teaching experience and are trained to offer compassionate, nonjudgmental support.
By calling the Arkansas Teacher Support Line, teachers and support staff can:
- Access a sounding board to process thoughts about teaching situations
- Ask questions
- Share concerns
- Navigate resources for wellness strategies
- Find mental health support
Call the teacher support line at 833-669-7337
Available M-F 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
As a commitment to providing the best practices to support Arkansas teachers and staff, AFMC launched a Teacher Support Needs Assessment Survey to gather insights from teachers on where additional resources, training, and/or assistance can make the most impact.
